All Saints Day, aka All Hallows’ Day, Feast of All Saints, Solemnity of All Saints. One of my favorite celebrations. It is a day to honor and remember all the saints known and unknown for their love for God and others, attaining Heaven through their unwavering faith. Growing up, going to a Catholic School, the whole school would dress up as saints, present a saint report, and then throw a big party. It is treated like a big day worthy of a big celebration, and not only that but a holy day. It was a reminder of the saints and their good works, guidance, and example.
Other than attending mass and savoring a few treats from trick or treating, I put together a little packet to do together. The girls can look through our saint books and pick a saint to “research and report.”
Here are a few of our favorite saint books and downloaded packet. Dress up as your favorite saints, read, draw/color, throw a party! The Catholic Icing also is an amazing resource if you’re looking for additional activities.
Happy Saints Day!
