LUCKY CHARM SENSORY BIN
Grab a bowl or big plastic bin, fill it with lucky charms, throw in some spoons, bowls, and measuring cups. Sort marshmallows, practice measuring, scooping, and have fun with some snacking and pretend play. Here is a great example!
GREEN PLAYDOUGH
Buy or make your green playdough; add some accessories to go along (cookie cutters, green pipe cleaners, gold coins, and pom-poms). I thought this counting mat was charming. Use the playdoh to shape letters and numbers, or just play!
FESTIVE FOOD
Food is always a good way to make the day feel a little more festive. I know my kids always get excited when I add a little twist to our day-to-day meals. Incorporate the color green into your menu (green smoothies, lucky charms, green pancakes.) Pinterest is an excellent resource for some simple and fun ideas.
FRUIT LOOP RAINBOW
Create a rainbow with fruit loops and marshmallows- sort into colors, count how much of each color. I made this simple little printout of the mat to help sort and measure and make a great little coloring sheet. Download below!
BOOKS
Books are one of the best ways to celebrate a holiday and to learn why we have these holidays to celebrate and their history. Check out my picks here!
