I dropped the ball on doing a second-trimester post! Between the holidays and time passing by too quickly, I never got around to it. I figured I would write out a quick list of what got me through the 2nd trimester. This is my favorite time in pregnancy. I have been fortunate enough, where my fatigue and nausea go away right as I enter into the 2nd trimester. I enjoy food again, my belly pops to a cute size, and my favorite part – ENERGY! I’m able to work out and keep up with kids!
Pregnancy pillow – belly pops, and its time to bring in reinforcement for extra support and comfort
Loose dresses – Some women are still in the awkward bump phase where your belly hasn’t popped yet, but your normal clothes dont quite fit (I didn’t quite have this problem 4th time around- belly popped 1st trimester). Dresses become your best friend!
Support Band – I especially love that it comes with a heating and cooling pad, which has offered so much relief to back pain.
Resistance bands and light weights – As I got back into my workouts after taking a couple of months off, I wanted to be careful. These resistance bands and light weights came in handy for low-impact, effective workouts. For more on working out during pregnancy check out my post here.
Unisom + Vitamin B + Magnesium – I take this combo before bed to help my body relax and SLEEP. Insomnia and restless legs are intense during pregnancy, and it’s a world difference when I take these 3 things. Check with your doctor.
Pepcid -Indigestion is fun
Comfortable Bra – Breasts are sore, and comfortable bras are a must. My favorites are the bravado and kindred bravely bras.
Water Bottle + Hydration – Making sure you are drinking enough water whether you are pregnant or not is extremely important. I’m still loving the Liquid IV!
